Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical team. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with various medical conditions. Your role will involve assessing patient needs, developing care plans, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive assessments of patients' health status
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and document patient vital signs, symptoms, and progress
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and preventive measures
- Assist with specimen collection processing and ensure accurate documentation
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families during challenging times
- Utilize electronic medical record systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks) for documentation purposes
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to aseptic techniques
- Participate in discharge planning and coordinate post-hospital care
Skills:
- Strong clinical knowledge and expertise as a registered nurse
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks)
- Ability to perform specimen collection processing accurately
- Knowledge of ICD-9 coding system for accurate documentation
- Familiarity with working with people with developmental disabilities is a plus
- Experience in discharge planning and coordinating post-hospital care
- Ability to utilize botulinum toxin treatment for specific medical conditions
